Lead Walking And Using Correct Tool For The Job
Isnt this common sense?
Slip leads without double stops are illegal in most European countries. So we can not train our dogs that way here…
Well explained, thanks Adam
Yes but....this is leash dependent. Without leash no correction
he's a tErRieR
Thank god someone who gets listened to is saying this 🙄 I'm so tired of repeating myself... "Yes... Of course your dog is pulling... You have them in a harness! Do you not know what harnesses were even designed for?" Then they look shocked, confused and then go straight to denial 🙄 nope, can't be the harness that's a problem 🤦🏻♀️
A under appreciated dog trainer right here. Most on here like to preach but never actually tell U how to do these things. Like one guy I got in my mind always preaches about look this is how Ur dog should be with a muzzle. And I'm like Yeap that is how it should be so why don't U tell people how to actually achieve it. Instead of making it seem like it's a thing of come here and Ur doing it 1st time from the very start. Anyone with a dog can tell U dogs like that are very far and few between they need training with basics everything U want them to do
🫴💯👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Should be law for all dogs to be on leads because most owners are less intelligent than there dogs, worst type of cross is a Staffy and a track suit, never trust this breed.
Yeah. Good luck with that mate.
Not saying he invited this stuff, but ceaser millaj really did change the world... It's crazy.
Dog was running back to owner because of the Karen voice you did 😂
ele vai pegar medo de passear assim, medo de ser abandonado 🙏🏻
Baxter is a good boy. he is just a schnauzer.
1st time i seen a dog walking a human 😂 😂
I see dogs walking their incompetent humans every day 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Good to know, though I prefer that my dog be allowed to jump up on me.
Can you teach parents not to allow thier children to lunge and grab your dog when your dog is on a lead please
❤
Eh I say let ‘em find out 😂
Please help me figure out how to get my daughter’s dog (chiweenie) to stop resource guarding me.
erm, maybe a heavy dog with relatively short legs not generally known for energetic leaps and feats of athleticism might not be the ideal dog to demonstrate with.
“Do your job, 🫏! I can’t do both our jobs!!!
❤❤
How to train your hooman
That's such a cool dog. Never leave him. 😊😊😊😊
Oh how the turn tables
So many people don’t understand this and it’s great that you’re taking the time to put the information out there!
😂❤
😂 this is hilarious
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
The dog fondler .. I mean whisperer
Why did she bring a baby there? Little kids and their cries are triggers for some dogs.
Pure logic.
🔥
this dogs face at the end of the video is awful. poor thing. absolutely terrified. also the tag on the new piece of gear he probably hasnt been conditioned properly too yet. gross
I hear what ur putting down that's interesting. I appreciate the minds of many.
Great lesson for a reative dog .
My parents, and some of my relatives, had these curly Q bushy butt doggos and they were kind of skittish of me, but I tried my best to be kind to those doggos. Now the Shih Tzu and Chihuahua dogs that my late grandma, and my aunt, had, well, they just loved me to pieces from Jump Street.
What type of leash are you using?
I got my very first Stafford on December 23rd 1995, he was six weeks old and was trained to piss n shit on old news paper, which he did so, in 3 days I had that dog asking to go outside. Last year we had our XL Bull cross Staff at 14 weeks old, the people we had him off had puppy pads everywhere, even in the crate, all over the house tbh. He came home with us, I put 1pad down (which they gave us) for the day until he got his bearings, and that was it., I spent the time to read my pup from feeding time to the time he needs to go out Pads imo are for lazy people who can not be arsed to take the time too work out theirs dogs toilet needs aka timings. IMO it seems to be the smaller breeds that stay on these pads the longest,
Yay finally someone who thinks like I do.
Totally agree have had dozens of fosters with half a dozen of my dogs over the years. Unfortunately sometimes they can walk and even play together after a few weeks of walks but I never found a sure fire way to know when they would be friends with in the house. Easy going dogs you pretty much know the first week but the aggressive ones that were kept from contact with other dogs for a few years I couldn't figure out and I'm open to any advice
I walk my dog on leash, and it's so annoying when people with off leash dogs allow their YAPPY SNAPPY SNARLY dog to run over to my dog. They have absolutely NO idea how my dog will react. More annoying is when they shrug it off and excuse the dog behaviour. SO NOT COOL.
Mm I’m so confused. All these trainers say “puppies don’t generalize very well” but will turn around and say “puppy pads teach them to pee in the house.” I like this channel but I need dog trainer to make some damn sense. I have litter trained dachshunds, who pee both in and out very reliably. I literally think it just depends on how it’s trained, fam.
Nah, I feed my service dog a human grade organic wholefood balanced diet, I spend lots of time learning what is balanced so he can thrive and live a long healthy life. I would never feed any of that dry kibbles crap BUT I do use meal time for training. I mean I would not eat cereal loaded with synthetic vitamins and minerals for every meal for the rest of my life, so why should my dog.
What ? I've trained several dogs to use pads as puppies and they never outgrew the habit. It was wonderful when issues kept me from home longer than usual (like all day jury duty !) I knew I would return home to no mess !
I also have to softly disagree on this one. Puppy pads have their place. When we first got my puppy, she was 6 weeks old, and it was -30c outside with a foot of snow out there. Too much to ask of a tiny puppy. Too much to ask the people to bundle up for that cold every time she needed to go out. We ended up making her a playpen area on the linoleum in the front hall, had her pads down, a few toys, etc. And we spent the next couple of weeks having her do her business there. Meanwhile, we told her to go and go her used to having a word for what she was doing. Once the cold snap ended and enough snow was shovelled so there was a clear area for the pup to work with we were able to get outside again, house training began in earnest and. . .honestly, she was ready. She was kept on lead while in the house, so being monitored at almost all times and the puppy pads were removed from the scene. She only took 5 days to fully house-train and she's never had an accident since. (Well, not including wetting the bed, but that was a medical reason, not a behavioural) So, yeah. I wouldn't say to NEVER use them. . .they do have their uses. But definitely once house-training is underway, they should be removed entirely to avoid confusion, and the dog needs to be on restricted access until it's got it. Also. . .consistency in getting them out as they need it. :P Not a good time for the owner to get lazy about taking the pup out.
I’ve had 3 indoor dogs and all 3 were trained on puppy pads successfully 🎉 they know to potty outside.
I get what you are saying but we used puppy pads due to rampant parvo in our area. Our vet warned us not to let our dog walk outside the house until fully vaccinated. When he was ready, we put a bell on the door and gave treats and he was fine. Standard poodle tho, so very smart.
Same here when we first got our dog we didn’t let them outside very often because they were unvaccinated and if they got sick there would be a good chance that they could die. What he is saying should make sense however there are health risks to letting newly born puppies outside.
Absolutely right dogs pick up all of our emotions and we need to be confident calm leaders ..I have a blue staffy and before a rescued staffy x for 12 years they're can be very sensitive dogs but all dogs need good leadership
🫴💯😎✔️
This is a great idea. I find it unfortunate that I meet very few dog walkers that would take time to allow this process to happen.
as someone with a nervous dog, I completely understand why no one in this day has the time to do this, even if they are aware of dog behaviour and trainings. Sadly no one owes us anything.
